About Vicki Dean Mayhew

Vicki Dean Mayhew is an author of children's books, short stories, songs, and poems. She's written two popular award winning children's books: her first, How the Unicorn Got His Horn Back, and Sea Shoes.

Vicki began writing poetry as a child and, as she got older, she then began crafting her stories. During the 1970s and 1980s, she started writing lyrics for songs.
